In fact, using the logo to align your skin will always result in a fucked up installation. This is why we don't tell you to align using the logo. A "perfectly aligned" logo means absolutely nothing when aligning your skin. This stops slight misalignments during installation from making the logo look terrible. The Apple logo on our skins is actually cut slightly smaller than the physical logo on the laptop itself. Any rational human would have then peeled the whole thing up and reapplied, leaving a gap and centering the skin properly. Again, if you had watched the installation video, you would have immediately noticed an issue upon shifting the 3M paper and checking the corner. In your photos, you left almost no gap whatsoever at the bottom of the skin, where you started installation, meaning that there would obviously be a huge gap along the top. As those who watched the video know, you're told to leave a small gap when aligning along the front edge of the laptop. This is to stop them from peeling up over time. The less obvious reason is that our skins are designed to leave a small gap all the way around. If you were following the video to the letter, you would have had to deliberately leave a gap at the front to get the result in your photos.

The installation video directs you to install the skin by starting at the front edge. Most obviously, the gap is at the front of the skin. We'll go into detail on how we know you didn't watch the video: We haven't made any recent changes to inventory, so we can confirm that what you have is an installation error caused by you not watching the installation video. As you can see from the dated photos, we were able to install the same skin flawlessly. Second of all, we have taken time to test this exact skin on this exact laptop, using a skin we pulled straight from inventory.
